How Do I Sign Up?
Use the coach’s Sign Up Genius to reserve a lesson or click on the Coach’s name and you will be connected via email.
If you need to cancel or change the time of your lesson, you can do so on the Sign Up Genius page with at least 24-hour notice. The Sign Up page will not accept changes outside this window. If you need to cancel a lesson with less than 24-hour notice, you must contact the coach directly, and lesson fees will apply.
Fees and Payment
Lesson fees range from $20 to $50 based on each coach’s experience level and credentials. Lessons must be paid in full prior to the start of the lesson. If you need to cancel with less than 24-hour notice, we will charge the full cost of the lesson. While payment by cash and check is accepted, we encourage the use of electronic payment through either Venmo, Zelle or CashApp. It is free to sign up for either service. You can click on the links below for more information on registering with Zelle and Venmo.
Kat Owczarski – All levels
I have been a member of the Langley Wildthings since the age of 8, and have been coaching for Langley since the age of 16. I am very excited to return to the club as a coach again this summer! I attended the University of Virginia where I studied History and Government and obtained a Masters in Teaching with an endorsement in High School History. Currently, I teach World and US History in Fairfax County (West Springfield High School) and coach the West Springfield High School Swim and Dive Team and the Fairfax Foxes.
Fee/Duration: $45 for 30 minutes

Evan Wrenn – All levels including Adult Lessons
In addition to being the head coach at Langley, I’m an age group coach at Machine Aquatics and a swim instructor at the Machine Aquatics Swim School. I’m also able to do privates at backyard pools if you or family have those available. If you have any questions about Langley, Machine Aquatics or private swim lessons please don’t hesitate to contact through call, text, or email.
Fee/Duration: $40 for 30 minutes, $50 for 40 minutes

Izzy Schone – All levels including Adult Lessons
I have been a part of the Wildthing family for the past fifteen years, starting in Mini Wildthings when I was six years old. I love swimming and I can’t wait to be able to coach at the LC this summer! The Wildthings have been so supportive over the years, and there is nothing more fun than summer swim team. Whether it be learn to swim as a child or an adult, I would love to swim with you!
I am currently a rising Senior at Boston College enrolled in the nursing school and I swim on the Varsity Swim Team. I formerly swam on the National Team for Machine Aquatics. I began swimming competitively for Machine at age eight. Throughout high school I qualified for States, was a Langley HS swim team captain, and was a two event qualifier for NCSA’s. I have been a coach for the Winter Wildthings program, as well as an assistant coach for the Wildthings the past three summers! I am looking forward to coaching again this summer and cannot wait to see you all at the pool whether it be for practice, meets, or lessons!!

Liliana Schone – Learn to Swim to Advanced
I have been a part of the Wildthings family for as long as I can remember, starting 14 years ago on Mini Wildthings when I was 5. Being on the swim team and now coaching has always been such a highlight for me and I cannot imagine spending my summers any other way!
I am currently a rising Sophomore political science major at Davidson College on the pre-law track, and I swim on the Varsity Swim Team. I formerly swam on the National Team for Machine Aquatics. Throughout my career, I have been on the PVS Zone Team, qualified for Sectionals, NCSAs, Futures, and was a Langley High School swim team captain. I started coaching and giving lessons five years ago and have also coached the Winter Wildthings program for three years. I have experience coaching kids from ages 2-18. I have my American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and am also CPR/AED certified. I am so excited to coach again this summer and cannot wait to see the Wildthings back in action!

Payment is due at the beginning of the lesson. I appreciate a 24-hour cancellation policy but I completely understand things happen! Please reach out to me with any questions or if there is not a time that works for you on my sign-up, we will make something work!
Chris Bunn – Learn to Swim to Intermediate
Hey! My name is Chris Bunn and I am happy to serve as an Assistant Coach for the 2023 Wildthings’ season. I’ve been involved in the NVSL for 13 years, recently switching to the Wildthings in 2021. I have 11 years of club swimming experience, first swimming with York Swim Club then switching to Machine Aquatics in 2018. I am a sophomore studying Business Management, Psychology and Marketing Communications at Wake Forest University. I look forward to working with your Wildthings!
Lilly Hussein – Learn to Swim to Advanced
I have been a part of the Langley Wildthings since 2011 and I have been coaching since 2018. This will be my second summer as an Assistant Coach. At Langley, I have worked as the Assistant Manager of the lifeguard staff and I was a dedicated lifeguard for 5 years.
In addition to coaching, this summer I will be interning for the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Salem, Virginia. I am a junior at Roanoke College studying Political Science, Enviornmental Studies, and German. I hope to become a professor of Political Science following my studies.
Fee/Duration: $30 for 30 minutes – (you are welcome to book multiple 30-minute sessions in a row for a longer lesson!)
